Wilde-Pedique Plus

Wilde-Pedique Plus is a personalised reconstructive nail treatment for those with nail issues, or no nail due to surgical removal.

Embarrassed by your unsightly nails?

Do you have a fungal nail?

Do you wear full shoes, socks or paint over the damage to disguise them?

Continually covering the nails can make the nail worse. Wilde-Pedique Plus is unique - it can be used safely, even with fungal nails, and last for several months.

Nail Surgery

Why might I need to have nail surgery?

There are numerous reasons why a toenail may need to be removed either partially or fully, including; in growing nail where a spike of nail is digging into the sulcus (soft part of toe, next to the nail), fungal infection, damaged toenail, or very wide nail plate.

Nail Surgery procedures are done using local anaesthetic (this is where an injection is given in your toe(s) which numbs the area). The feeling will return back in your toe(s) approximately 1-2 hours after you leave the clinic.

After the injection, the toe(s) is checked to ensure complete numbness before continuing. Once the toe is numb the troublesome part of nail, or whole nail (depending on which procedure you have consented to) is then removed. A strong chemical called phenol can then be applied to kill the nail-producing cells.

You will have discussed with the podiatrist whether you need to have phenol applied or not. The advantage is a permanent solution to troublesome nails.

New treatment for Fungal Nail conditions

CLEARANAIL is a painless treatment that involves micro penetration of the infected nail. Very precise 0.4mm holes are made in the nail plate using a single use microblade (SUM) allowing the impermeable structure of the nail to be made permeable, thus allowing antifungal treatment spray to reach the infection within and under the nail plate. Clearanail is proven to be much more effective than using topical antifungal lacquers, due to the depth of penetration of the antifungal spray.
